Rosie, 3 weeks after being discovered locked in a rarely used shed.
On the 27th August 2010 we were alerted to Rosie's plight, when a workman found her shut in a rarely used shed on the new Waitrose development, on the Southern Industrial Estate in Bracknell.
She was thought to have been locked in for a number of weeks, we estimate at least six weeks, and was not only dehydrated but she was so emaciated that she only weighed 1.5kgs!
Rosie was very weak, and stiff, and had difficulty walking. One can only imagine what she went through.
Despite having a collar on, nobody come forward to claim her, even though she was featured in the local papers.
Rosie was put into the care of our Welfare Officer, Anne Young, and whilst being looked after she nearly doubled her weight, and began acting like a cat half her age.
Rosie is a delightful little cat, and loves to sit on your lap and be fussed. In fact, Rosie never left Anne's home, and now lives with her permanently. A happy end to a very sad cats tale..
Rosie, as she is today.
